Drainage Solutions

If your yard turns into a pond every time it rains, it isn't random. It's slope, low spots or water with nowhere to go. We find the cause and fix it with grading, fill, French drains, culverts or a rock-lined channel.

Quick answer

Standing water in a yard usually comes from one of three things: the wrong slope, low spots where the ground has settled, or poor drainage that gives water nowhere to go. Streamline Construction Services corrects these with regrading, fill, French drains, culverts and rock-lined swales. Most drainage jobs take 1 to 7 days.

How we do it

Done right underneath.

  1. Find the cause

Slope, low spot or no outlet. We look at it after a rain if we can.

  2. Give water a path

Swale, French drain or culvert, sized for the water it has to carry.

  3. Protect the outlet

Rock where the water exits, so the fix doesn't wash out.

  4. Regrade around it

Final grade sends water toward the drain, not your foundation.

Questions we get

Why does water stand in my yard?

Usually one of three things. Wrong slope, so water runs toward the house or settles where it shouldn't. Low spots, where the ground has settled and holds rainwater. Or poor drainage, where water has no clear place to go after a storm.

Can standing water be fixed?

Usually, yes, with the right grading, fill or drainage solution. We figure out what's causing it and recommend the fix.

What is a French drain?

A trench with perforated pipe and gravel, wrapped in fabric, that collects water underground and carries it away. Good along foundations and in wet ground.

How long does drainage work take?

Most drainage jobs take 1 to 7 days.
