How we do it
Done right underneath.
- Prep the slope
Excavate, set the base and plan where water will go.
- Build the wall
Block wall on a compacted base, with drainage stone and pipe behind it.
- Backfill and grade
Backfill in lifts, then grade above the wall so water doesn't sit on it.
- Finish the space
Pavers, steps and walkways to make it a place you'll use.

Questions we get
Why do retaining walls fail?
Mostly water. Without drainage behind the wall, water builds up pressure and pushes it over. Every wall we build gets drainage behind it and a final grade above it.
Can you build on a lakeside slope?
Yes. Several of our recent projects are lakeside lots that went from a steep slope to usable outdoor space.
Do you do paver patios?
Yes, patios, walkways and the curved edging around them, usually as part of a bigger outdoor project.
Do you handle the site prep too?
Yes. Excavation, grading, drainage, wall and pavers are all in house.
